My bb would grab anything around her, including blanket, her small soft toy and 'sar gun'. whenever we put our hand beside her hand, she would grab my finger and squeeze them hard which my finger couldn't escape.
when she lies down, put your finger in both her hand and then pull her up, this can help her finger muscles stronger, I think.
no ah, u can try. my bro also used the same way to her daugther when she's a baby.
the fingers of my baby is very strong. sometimes i want to 'unwound' her finger and 'save' my finger or hair out from her fingers, but couldn't and need my husband's help.
how old is your babe? sometimes i think we have to wait a bit as babes have their own pace of development.
my babe had little intention of grabbing things too when he was 12-week old. a nurse at the maternity clinic taught me to try touching his fingers with toys. i noticed that my babe has difficulties grabbing large objects. So, i bought him smaller rattle (at hkd 15 from horizon plaza) and tried the trick. i also bought him a battery operated toy piano and let me press by accidential trial and error play.
he's getting a lot better now. not sure if he's finally reached the milestone, or the tricks worked.
