I moved to vancouver when I was 4months pregnant .
And My son was born in Vancouver with MSP coverage so everything was pretty good. But if I have choice I would rather give birth in HK, the reasons are-
1. You have to find OB / midwive to accept your case, it's a bit troublesome
2. Pregnant lady probably need support from friends and family
3. Normally you have to communicate with OB / midwives in English and somehow If English is not ur mother-tongue, it's a bit difficult to explain your felling or your concern
3. You cannot choose C-section, basically u need to have natural birth if there's no any complication ( but no worries they do provide Epidural for free )
4. If you cannot apply MSP on time, you have to pay and the cost and it can be super high
4. No HKID ... ( although I don't think it's a big deal )
Hopefully you have some ideas :)
And feel free to PM me !
Yea I think mommy's well being & baby's health are the most important thing. Giving birth in Canada actually is good too, I have a very good experience in here but I think every women are different
