之前有人問過又答過﹐OWWA membership fee US$25係要僱主負責﹐但唔知係一次過定係一年一次。通常agent都話包文件費用﹐你返去睇清楚agent話包邊d啦﹐如agent係包﹐叫agent俾番。相反﹐你要俾。

I just ask my maid about the document. She told me that the document is named OEC which issue by Philippines consulate. They need this doc when they back to Hong Kong. For me, I remember I had paid this money for her last vacation but I can't remember the exactly amount. I don't know if it is the same as you mention OWWA. ?-(

I did not pay it for her

I know it is foe them to waive the airport tax when they travel back and forth between Hong Kong and Philipines. I don't think that we have the obligation to pay for it.

As I understand, the OWWA is the membership fee of the insurance for the maid, which is approximately $275/year. It is not complusory but if your maid is a member, that fee is paid by the boss.

The OEC is named the oversea-employment contract, which is the document the maid need to show to the immigrant department in Philippines when they go back for holiday. It can be applied in HK which cost $35.

My bunbun told me the above information, but she is not asking me to pay for it.....

唉﹐個個講法都唔同﹐我之前係菲律賓領事館既網址度看過提及OWWA﹐POEA等資料﹐抄過來參考一下﹕

[size=x-small] ............If all his/her papers are in order, the worker will be required to attend the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar conducted by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Fees to be paid include:

1. Employer

US$ 100 (or its Peso equivalent) – POEA Processing Fee
US$ 25 (or its Peso equivalent) – OWWA Membership

2. Worker

P 900 – OWWA Medicare (if the worker is not a member of Philhealth)

An Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) will then be issued to the worker and he/she could now book/confirm his/her flight to Hong Kong SAR. The OEC would also exempt the worker from paying the Philippine travel tax and the international airport terminal fee.

所以我咪話你要俾囉﹐其他人唔駛俾係可能因為agent已負責左﹐或個工人冇開聲。

你同佢續得約﹐個工人又有跟據兼有單據﹐$200﹐算啦。
