My yan came 4 months, when she first day came to my house (9/11/2008), she was sick (having cold and cougth), I let her see doctor (but couldnt claim insurance cos still in waiting period), and then she saw doctor twice before chinese new year, and now she is sick again (cougthing again), it will be her 4 th time to see doctor, that means around every month she goes to see doctor!!!!
I am very sad and worried about this, cos she will be resposible to take care of my new born baby girl after I resume to work again in May. If everytime the weather is cooler she is sick, then how can she takes care of my BB? also, I have a 2.5 yr old boy, he has been sick on and off after this Yan has came....
I am "sitting month" now, I dont let her take care of my BB cos I dont really trust her and she is sick.... she is mainly responsible for the house work only. for the housework, she is ok. but she also has the bad things like the other maids.....
I am thinking to fire her, and as I am at home all the time now, I am thinking to give her 1 month notice (cos I dont want to waste $$$ for her, she already wasted my $$$), what do u think? pls kindly advice!!!!!
P.S. I am thinking to ask part-time helper to take care of BB, and ask my mother to take care of BB for the other half-time..... dont want to hire a maid anymore, too troublesome....... (my last miad also got fired cos bad behavior... poor us as employer!)
I already pay for her flu vaccination...... still....
I know she doesnt want to be sick herself, but she is frequently sick, even I told her to wear more clothes, and take good care of herself.... and I already told her I have young children at home, and she needs to wear mask if she doesnt feel well... but still every day need us to remind her.....
housework..... do very very slowly, i mean ironing clothes can use 1 hour for 10 clothes (children's one), dinner can use 2 hours to prepare (only 2 dishes need her to cook)... and she lied to us... before my BB was born, my boy is attending nursery, she was alone at home, and she talked on my phone, and left early to meet her friends before she goes to pick up my boy (finally found out by my mother)..... I mean I can accept she is just like the other maids, but I really cant let a sick and weak person to take responisble for my BB..... very troublesome!
