I have a medela的電泵 and also bought a Avent manual pump last week. Besides less noisy, I found it quite efficient and I can pump more and quicker. of course, it depends on how quick you pump) In the morning, I usually use both pump together. I will use Avent in the office also.
However, I am wondering how I can steam it in the office.
I found the feeling sucking is greater by using Avent manual pump. As a Manual pump, you can pump quicker than the Medela mini-electirc pump. However, Avent has a lot of part which may need to steam for 2nd pumping in the office. For Medela mini-electirc pump, just a clean bottle and the yellow cap will do.
Do you find it too noisy to use electric pump in the office?
Thanks. The mini-electric is noisy and I can't use it at home (since will awake my BB). I use the conference room to pump during lunch (I just pump once in the office) and since the colleagues go out for lunch, I think it's still ok.
I've bought the sterilising tablet, just in case I have to OT and need 2nd pumping in the office.
FYI. I went to the Assoication of HK nursing staff this afternoon, the Avent manual pump is only cost $240. I brough it from荷花 last week, with member price, $286.
Thank you for your information about SPK!!
I'm also breastfeeding my 19month old BB. Now I only feed her twice a day at home. But when she was under 1 yr old,I pumped milk everyday in my office. I used Medela mini-electric double. I found it very efficient and it did't make noise. (My sister lent me a Medela mini-electric single, it's very noisy) I take only 15 mins to finish pumping ( may ~ 10 oz.) I didn't steam the parts, I used the Milton tablet. ( cold sterilization ) It's very convenient.
How old are your children?
Let's share the BF experience!!!
I went there around 3:30pm. I live very near to 護協. Have you also bought dryers? It's also cheaper there.
Others,
I have seldem seldom bf my baby directly. I pump milk only. But only 1.5 zo per 3 hrs. For the whole day, 12 zo only. So, my girl ( coming to 7 wks) mainly count on formula. Last time when I feed her directly, I caught a cold (2 weeks ago) and I stopped
I know my milk will fade out gradually. However, I will try my best. It's better than none. I am going to office next week, and will try the Avent pump.
By the way, do you think if I feed her again directly, my milk will be increased?
