I want to know too. My maid came to HK in Dec 2003. By that time, no tax required to us. But now I need to renew her contract, how can I pay the tax? For the renewal of the contract, I want to complete by my maid and myself because I don't think I need to go thru agent.
You have to pay the DH Tax on THE SAME DAY you submit the contract renewal + DH working visa extension documents to HK Imm Dept. ($2400 on the day you submit the documents, if you choose to pay by 4 instalments, then pay another $2400 6-months later, 12-months later, and 18-months later). If you choose to pay all at once, = pay $9600 on that day.
No $$$, no new (renewed) DH working visa, see ?
hinhinmymmy,
It's because the 1st instalment is paid at the time (same day) you (or the agent on your behalf) submit your DH working visa application documents to HK Imm Dept, and this date (of application) is BEFORE the date on which your new DH actually start to work for you. Then you pay 6-m, 12-m and 18-m after this date.
