I have sent a parcel by ship from Hong Kong to UK by Hong Kong Post office about 2.5 months ago. My friend in UK will be out of UK for 2 weeks. Can you advise will the Post Office UK handle the Parcel when it arrived in UK ?

Royal Mail will probably deliver the parcel to the neighbour of your friend, and then drop your friend a card telling which neighbour has kept the parcel for him or her.
