For manual, I saw a lot of Bk mami suggested Avent.

I like the brand "Medela", I rent a "medela" model "symphony" (good & quiet)after I use it at the Gov't Hospital(few hundred per mth). When just give birth normally will not have a lot of milk come out, this is good because it can massage your breast at the same time.
I rent the above for first 3 mos, then I decided to buy a Medela "Mini Electric plus" (quite noisy)at around $1000 at Eugine (Ho Fa), until now I still feel quite satisify with it.
You can choose the one depends on how you use and your budget. Remeber not to buy "Nuk", it made me feel very painful!

I agree "Medela"is good. I also use it for many mths. If you need to bring it to work, i suggest a electronic single pump. If you just use it at home, i suggest a electronic double pump, coz when you use double pump, the milk comes out more and quickly.......

I have used a manual pump, but the effect is not good.... and I felt very tired.....and stopped just 10 mins later...... not much milk came out :-| ....... So, don't use manual pump.

****If you don't mind, I can sell you my old pump, I just used it for 6 mths......You can send me a pm if you're interested in.......

where and how much you rented "medela" model "symphony" ? I'm interested for this one as you said it can massage the breast even though I already bought Avent manaul one but still want to try "medela".

Don't buy Pigeon. I have 2 friends who bought this and found the performance very poor.

I rented it in Celki.
Add: Shop 201-2, phase I, Causeway Bay Plaza, Causeway.

They also have branch in Kln side. If you go there, pls check if they offer discount with any cards holder. (e.g.: pampers card or Credit card, etc....)
As I remeber, rent it for 3 mos is about $1200 . For 1 mth is about $550 up. But u need to buy the parts from them (they rent only the machine).
It is quite expensive that's why I buy a mini one later as I need to bring it to pump in the office now. If you want to buy, better buy in Eugene as they sell it a lit bit cheap if you are their member.
No matter u want to buy or rent , pls consider to use the double pump instead of the single pump, Single pump will double the time u spend to pump.

I agree the Medela is very good. It just take 10-15min to pump the milk. I bought a single pump around 6xx. It is very personnal thing, where u don't consider to buy?

I use Medela 'Symphony' at home and Medela mini-electric + Avent ISIS manual pump in the office...

Very good and even though it's expensive, it's worth!

actually medela milk pump can fit pigeon bottles also... So if you are using pigeon bottles, you can save $$.

我有avent同medela，兩個都好，不過前者可以好快pump完，約$300，後者好鬼嘈但冇咁多配件約$700！
