I go there by package and live in Sheraton. Actually, join tour is cheaper than package.

跟團係平過自己去的. 因為團裡面好多野都包左.

另外, SHOPPING地方都係D商場.

~ BB仔用品/衫, 都算平
~ 焗旦糕用品及材料 - 超平

我剛在10月去完, 跟新華, 麻麻地. 我聽人講東瀛遊唔錯.

我住SUTERA HABOUR RESORT MELLGENA WING. 超正. 又近市區. HOTEL仲有SHUTTLE BUS去TOWN. 非常方便.

我跟永安團去沙巴,住的酒店係Neuox, 好好玩, 好舒服, 同小朋友去都ok .

我也是住在 Mellgena，間 hotel 好方便出市中心一陣就到；可以四處搵東西食。
不過如果我會去第二趟，就會住 Nexus，因為會集中享受陽光海灘。

I have been to Sabah many times as I have relatives living there.

Several years ago, we bought package. At that time, around $5,000 for air-tickets plus 3 nights hotel, very expensive. We lived hotels including, Sheraton, Hyatt (near city and shopping mall), Shangri-La (at Turang Aru, good environment, but a bit expensive).

For the recent years, we buy air-ticket only and our relatives booked local hotels for us. Those hotels are run by small group but quality are ok, around HK$200 per night. For Shangri-la Turang Aru, if you has membership with Shangri-la, room rate will be cheaper. No membership fee is required. Our relatives booked with around HK$500 per night, sea-view room.

Comparing with other cities in Asia, tour fee and air-tickets to Sabah are higher. I don't know why peak season is more than low season for air fare to Sabah. But, the living standard is very low and a fee money could buy a lot of things. We used to buy daily accessories, fruit, and baby's stuff. The cheapest meal is around M$3 for a 碟頭飯 and M$1 for a can of coke. Used around HK$1,000 could pay for a whole table with a lot of seafood.

We are going to visit Sabah again in December.

請小心不耍到Shangri La Rasa Ria,離市區很遠．　Swimming pool 6 時已close．　海灘唔掂．　附近唔見有其他食店．
出市區要３０ｍｉｎｓ．　很不便．ｈｏｎｅｙ　ｍｏｏｎ去完後很後悔

I have been there in Aug and I stayed in Nexus. My son enjoyed so much of the hotel. Of coz Nexus hotel is quite far away from the city. We need to call van if we prefer seafood dinner in town. It cost as RM80 round trip for 6 pax. For me, I will prefer to stay in Nexus although it's far away coz it's really so relax.

You have to take a taxi to city if living in Sutera and Shangri-la Tanjung Aru, but not far away. They are said to be inside the city area when comapring with Nexus and Shangrila Rasa Ria. They are located at countryside which is on the way to Mt Kinabalu. Many people chose Shangri-la Tanjung Aru because of its beach. Hyatt Hotel is really located at City, just next to the shopping mall and opposite to McDonald, but the hotel has no other special facilities.

I plan to go Sabah with my 3 boys during X'mas. Which one is better ?Tanjung Aru or Magellan? My husband need sun+beach, my 3 boys need very big room/bed (as 5 persons together), and I just want a cheaper and convinent one.

Hello,

I stayed at Nexus - Borneo Villa. It's really nice.

One thing I'd like to emphasize - golf is really attractive - price very reasonable with your own buggy with no caddy. You can really enjoy it. Last time, my family (including my daughter aged 8) had spent 2 days on golf course. It's amazing (as the traffic was real good).

For my boy was only 18mth at time, I dare not give him food outside the hotel. And all my hubby and I want are to take a good rest during the holiday and to spend as much time as we could with our treasure. We chose Nexus for its endless beach.

Since i never try the Oceanville room, but I think it's also ok. I remember Oceanville is around 8 Floor. Pls correct me if i am wrong.
Actually if you book Borneo room, you need for around 5-mins walk to lobby if with kids.
