London, where to stay?

Hi

I just found that the hotels in Central London is so expensive. Most of them are over HK$1,300 to HK$1,600 per night! 3 star and four star hotels?

I am planning to go to Europe and the last destination is Londodn in the Chinese New Year holiday. I will travel with my family(my son and my wife) and will stay in Central London for 2 nights?

Any good suggestion, Thanks!

我今年二月去英國倫敦, 住果間旅館都幾ok, 好乾淨, 不過就冇 lift, 我地住過同區一間亞差開既旅館, 恐怖程度達十級 (浴室男女共用, 獨立花酒浴室, 不過就係透明, 簡直想死!) , 其他地方既酒店都唔多好, 好彩我地有人之前黎過倫敦玩, 住過我地住果間旅館先搵到咋!

"B & B" - Bed & Breakfast - may be an alternative. It is an experience.
They are cheaper, cosy, and clean, and can be found in various parts of Central London, or even around your friend's/relative's home even if they live outside Central London. As a last resort, take the underground to King's Cross Railway Station, there are many "B & Bs" within a few minutes walk from the station, but stay away from the black, the Asian & the drunkard in that area for obvious reasons.

In 2002 we stayed in the Ibis near Euston Court Station. I think it's 3-star. The room is OK, price around 70 pounds per night. The important points are that both the Euston Court Station and the tube are just a few minutes walk away and there are some supermarkets nearby. Very convenient.

I know that there is a new hostel in Piccardilly Circus. It's quite a new one and is situated in this wonderful convenient area. You may go for a try of it if you don't mind staying at hostel.

I went to London during July this year. I lived in the Holiday Inn Express (including breakfast) GBP50. You can try this which locate at Stonebridge station.

Do you know is there any hotel / hostel in London can be rented for 1 month in cheaper price ( like Kong Kong, some hotels have monthly basic rented)

You may try Travel Inn, it is a economic hotel chain. I stayed at the one in County Hall, London in September - GBP75. Good location and their service and room quality is OK.
