Hi ChingChingFather,

There are several BK fathers here using 300D and I'm one of them.

To be honest, even if i am a 300D user, i will suggest you to go for Nikon D70 if you did not have any Canon EF lens at the moment. The major reason is because actually D70 is now at a really reasonable price (comparing with 300D) and with more function than 300D. As you may already know, 300D is actually a beginner level DSLR and Canon did limit most of its function such as metering, focusing mode etc. If you already has photography experience, you may want a DSLR with more manual functions. As such, D70 should offer you more satisfactory. As i know, D70 body is now selling at around $6k only.

My second suggestion will be Pentax IST Ds, which is also a good choice accordingly to many comments in the net.

This is just my two cents for your reference.

I am also one of 300D users here.

I am also agreed with Mcben, D70 is more attractive. About the same price range and got full set of function. Even its min ISO is 200, it is still good enough..

About 300D, I still like to use it.. it is good enough for daily use.

I am just a home user, far from professional ...
But
when using flash, pls be reminded to +FEC. (Set it at the ex-flash, or the 300D body (need crack frimware) when using internal flash. )

Always use card reader to upload the pic to your PC.
(using 300D is too slow and wasting battery power)

Haven't see you around here for a long while. How's your baby? My daughter has become more and more active and non-stop 14 hrs a day (except for the 10 hrs she is sleeping).

I just got myself a 2nd hand 70-200 f/4 but after a few outdoor shot, i found it not really suitable for me taking my daughter as i dare not stay too far from her. She always doing dangerous actions and thus i prefer to stay with her.

Any latest photos from you?

Hi Mcben,

Thanks.. my little boy is good..just learnt walk and run... he is the most "busy man" at home... hahaha

Bought a new lens but "can't" use it.. pity.. so put it aside and play with your sweety Zhizhi, still have fun! right!

and yes.. I think it is the time to update the photo on the left.... I am lazy to do it... hhaha

Yeap, once they know how to walk, they become the fastest runner in the house.

That's why i will bring my daughter down to the park and let her run freely.

Right, update the big head photo lar. Really wanna to see your son latest look.

Not only let your daughter running, also yourself...

After the Tsunami happened, found running is very important! as many adults already forgot how to "run" lar!

...just got one pic in my notebook and updated the photo.....not the latest but in this 2 months...

上一次我拎部cracked 300d去canon check, 唔記得放番個original firmware 落去. 佢地都照check... 不過可能check 唔到有問題, 所以冇出聲!??

Chichi's clothes are not all from Baby's Closet. :evil: :evil: :evil:

As a typical mother, Chichi's mother like to shop everywhere even Chichi got plenty of clothes.

Recently she like to shop in another upstair shop in central. Let me know if you like to have details.

Oh, the Ocean Park Outfits.... they are all not from Baby's Closet!

The Green GAP Sweater is from our friend in U.S. so i think you can easily get them in Canada (You are in Canada, right?).

The red hat, orange scarf and pink jacket are both from Mont-Bell. A japanese brand for outdoor clothing and accessories. Actually, they are all bought by me coz' the temperature here in hong kong fallen suddenly so i prefer her to wear something really warm and comfortable.

About post-processing, i just do very little during my converison from RAW to JPEG, such as adjusting the white balance, adjusting the exposure etc. No processing work after the converison. Any comments on the photos? I think they will be better if i have time to post processing them by photoshop but i don't really think i have time to do that one by one.
