1/For electric pump, faster but noisy. For manual, less noise but your hand will be very tired.
2/ Depends on where you use it. If you feed and pump at the same time at home, manual pump is better as it is less noisy. But, for me if I use it alone, I don't have as much milk as when I use 2 pumps together. I believe it does not 'strong ' enough in power. Medela mini electric can pump more milk even when used alone.
3/ When pump at the office, remember to use 2 pumps at the same time as you can express more milk because of the reflex.
4/ You can consider buying the Medela mini electric rightaway without hiring the bigger model. The latter has greater power , less noise but too large in size. You don't want to take it to the office. Only use at home. It's a waste of money if just use at home.
5/ I suggest you to buy one Avent manual pump and one Medela mini electric

I don't get much milk if used alone(Avent manual). I se it with Medela mini electric together at the office. When I need to pump at home I se Medela as I can express the milk even if used alone.
When using Avent alone, maybe the effect can be better when your breast is full of milk (say at midnight when bb doesn't drink that frequently.)
