Joe mama,

I have a friend's son also studying in Taylor College (TC), he just came for two months. TC got a few sites in Sydney. The news about that girl is true, Waterloo, Refern and City (at night) are not safe.

I advice you to stay in a homestay in a safe surburd. I know a HK family is operating homestay in Hurstville for many years (both of them are Christian). If you stay in Hurstville, it is just half an hour train to the City and Hurtsville got all kind of Chinese shops and restaurants, it is like a small China town. It is safer!

But you need to talk to your agent in HK, ask them can you find your own homestay? You need the agent's approval to do it. If you want, I can give you the homestay information for your agent.

*1. When is your daughter coming?
*2. Is she just 18 years old? or < 18 years old? If <18 you need a gudiance, it is a bit complicated.

Taylor College (TC) got a few sites in Sydney. Do you have the exact address? I have a friend's son is also studying in TC and came in Aug 2009.

The news was true and horrible. I advice you not to stay in Waterloo, Refern and the City. I know a Christian family is operating homestay in Hurstville. Hurstville is just half an hour train to the City. Hurstville is much safer and got all kinds of Chinese shops and restaurants.

If you like, I can give you the information. But you need to ask your agent, can you find your own homestay? Is your daughter exactly 18 or <18? If <18 you need a guidiance and it is a bit complicated.
