Seems that most of the Indo maids are not very smart. If you want to fire her, are you going to try the Filipino one or Indo maid worked in Singapore for several years, otherwise the situation may not be improved. Also, most of the maids (disregard which race) are quite absent minded. Lastly, may be you should adjust the sleeping time of your son and your maid, i.e. to sleep a little bit earlier. Did your maid sleepy all the time or only during this spring season, as many people feel sleepy and tired in this season cos of the weather.
Try to tell her to write down all the things that you want her to do. See if she can improve up to your standard.
If you can't stand her, then it is better to fire her. Otherwise, you will suffer.
I don't think that Indoesnian maids are stupid or absent minded. They are just not willing to remember what you said. The only thing they remember is when they got the pay cheque.
In fact, they can do things pretty fast if they want to. But, they just like to 'DUMP' time. My maid usually spends 2 hours to clean-up kitchen after supper (for me, less than an hour can handle it). Last X'mas eve, I told her that if she could finish all her housework that day early, we would go to TST with her.
You know what, she was able to clean-up the kitchen in less than an hour!
