rent is getting expensive here in Singapore....I moved here Feb. 2011 and I paid SGD3000 for a 2 bedrooms private condo complex in East Coast area...but it is close to 1200ft (HK standard). u need to search and check many before u decide, cuz some of apartments are very old and dirty...many landlords don't renovate before renting out....good luck! I moved here in March 2011. We rent an brand new apartment (town house) at SGD3300 in East Coast. The rent is really soaring! I recommend you take more than one agent to pick your favorites. First of all, you need to tell which area you prefer to live, just like you prefer HK island or Kowloon. I can introduce a friend of mine (from church) and she is real estate agent.
