各位靚媽,
下個月我會返香港七日, 成七年無返過香港, 請提點下有咩注意. 我楂綠咭, BNO, "過期"香港身分證--仲未係智能果種. 老公同歷仔楂us passport.

過關時係咪要同佢地分開排隊?
返去換智能身分證麻唔麻煩呀?

好擔心呀, 香港變左咁多, 我返到去一定變左大鄉里呀!

don't worry ... HKG airport is not really that big. just always stay together with your family; otherwise, tell them where they should meet you in case they got lost.

about the "china pass", if you don't plan going to China for the coming trip or the near future, it's not necessary to get it.
i just used mine once and maybe now it's going to expire soon.

唔洗架..你地一家三口..都可去香港人果絛line度過關, 因你有hk id麻, even未換, 都得架, 我果時過關問d關員, 係佢地叫我咁過架..唔驚, 冇人會話你地架. 仲快好多架..而家好多人用晒smart id果度過, 都冇咩人排hk人過關果度啦.

about smart Id. 你過左期未換,佢地未必比你online booking, 要自己去換, 但都唔驚, 因冇咩人去換, 所以絛line唔長, 但驚就驚, 你得7日係hk. 未夠時間拎番張新既, 你試下問果度既人, 可唔可叫家人幫你拎.

From what I read online, you may need to get the smart ID within 30 days if you go back to HK (for muimui313's case). My friend imigrated to Canada and got the old HKID. She made appointment online when she was still in Canada, after she had arrived HK, she went to her appointment and got the new digital HKID. But I think she had someone to pick up her new ID for her or so though.

I also don't have my smart ID yet ah...

so they have 3 different lines to pass the HK custom? visitors (e.g. US citizens), HKppl with smart ID, and HKppl without the smart ID (but with HKSAR and HK non-digital ID)? I am curious to know too. :)

Do you know any discount plane ticket to HK? But then I am not sure if Hawaii's special is the same as the US mainland's. You only going for 7 days? A bit short bor. :)

hehe.. I haven't back to HK for over 11 years... longer than you. I will probably be super "dai heung lay" if I go back.

My brother came here when he's 17 and went back to exchange his adult ID 1 year later. Then, he has not go to HK for over 10 years. Last year, he went back for a vacation and applied for his Smart ID. He scheduled it online and then wrote a letter to my sister for pick up on behalf of him. You can also choose the mail option but need to pay for registered mail. I also have not been to HK for 4 years and am planning to go back next year, possibly at Thanksgiving.

My mom told me that some of her friends found package from SFO to HK/China for $6XX including 3 days/2 nights hotel accommodation for this month. It's quite tempting.

總之, 係一家人, 其中一個有hk id, 都可係香港居民果絛line過咯.

bunnymonkey, 你十一年未返過去, 真係破哂紀錄. 我地張幾票, 每位$638, 不過唔包酒店, 酒店重搵緊. 諗緊油麻地ymca, 話哂以前都幫佢地打過工, 當年係青少部做左3 年社工. 上網價, 大約$100 一晚.

Wah, $6xx with hotel package tim. Good deal bor. Is it from any newspaper or travel agent? Do you know any deal for very late oct or nov ah? SFO -> hk.
