Hi Mommy,
Finally I delivered my twins baby girls at St. Teresa Hospital 2 weeks ago.. 1st girl is 2.19kg and 2nd girl is 1.95kg. 2nd bb need to stay at Hospital 6 more days until 2kg. Thanks god they both are are ok now.. and stay warm at home. The weight also gaining everyday.

Thank you thank you... I did the c-section at my 37 weeks 5 days. It is tough to wait till that day.. actually the doctor have found out babies have grow slowly as normal. so both bbs are abit skinny. I was so scare at 1st.. but after doctor check everything .. seems lungs and hearts are normal just underweight..

Yours girls weight quite good. My girls are 2.27kg & 1.78kg. My 2nd daugther stay at hospital 15 days & 1.9kg when left. Now they're 4.5mths & growing well. Don't worry, your grils will grow very well.

Do u remember how much they weight when 33W or else? My babies weight 1.7kg 33W now. wondering if they would be underweight at 37W c-section... :-(

and how much for 1day baby stay in hospital? thanks.

Shela.. not too worry for this stage. week 33 with 1.7kg is pretty good in progress. Doctor found bbs slow down growing when they reached 35-36 weeks. I remember 33week bbs were around 1.5-6kg.
Depends on what kind of box the bb needs when they born. My small bb need to stay in warm box charge me around $2000 per day. (inculded doc fee and miscleneous) Private hosiptal is not that strict as public hostiptal. Private will let bb go home when they reach 2kg. but I heard ppl said public hospital need bb reach 2.3kg (5 lb) then let them go home.

It's really need not worry as your babies already
weight 1.7kg in 33w. My grils are around 3-3.5 lbs
in 33w & gain 1 lbs when give birth (37w1d).

In public hospital, BBs stay in warm box & charge
$50/day. Both left hospital which weight around 2.1kg.

i was very tired but unable to sleep from 11:00pm still 04:00am now... i think too much about the underweight problem...

thinking about to c-section twins in public hospital (much closer and cheaper if babies stay longer for underweight) than original plan in private hospital.

i have so far visited public hospital once and they don't have much information on me... so fan. /__\

any mum have experience to share, for sudden plan change from private hospital to public hospital? =(

chewy, i found there is one post from you about your private doctor asked u to line up with public hospital? did u never visited public hospital before that? and how's to line up with public hospital? - thanks a lot!!!

I do understand it's hard to ignore the worries, but worry doesn't help anything, right?

That's mean u didn't have any check at public hospital so far?

Yes yes..My private doctor ask me to queue up on public hosiptal as well for back up. Cos both bbs grow abit slow. At that moment I was on my 35 weeks, I was so worry..cos i never met with public doctor at that moment. There were a big line up for exsisting mommys already. My cousin recommended me to see public doctor but with PRIVATE case. Charge will be similar like private doctor. The good things are you have better service and faster line up to see doctor. They also offer c-section or natural brith delivery.
The reason y i went there were i need to get 2nd opinion on my bbs problems and get the space in case I hv emergency delivery. <<2 hands preparation>>

Lets talk abt the cost, they told me the delivery will be charge like private hosiptal. But after the bbs born if they need support on ICU or any kinds of Box facility, they will charge as normal (eg. $50 per day). 'cos they said mommy and bbs will be separate case. (I hope i can explain clearly to you. If not, you may send me personal message I will try to explain more in detail)

But finally, I still follow my plan and delivered at private. Maybe the confindent issue la..

i will visit private doctor tmr to see their growth.

if they growth slowly, i would try public hospital backup as well... i have record there although not detail at all... i visited public hospital only once!
