Doctor Yu is a very good doctor. Unlike many doctors now in Hong Kong , they will persue patients to 開刀 by many reasons. So that they can charge higher and no need to be 24-hour stand-by.
Dr Yu also charge higher for 開刀 ($9500). But if he you can 順產, he will recommand 順產. but Of course, the final decision is on the patient. for 順產, he charged $7500.
I also see Dr 余啟文, I think he is a very patient doctor and does not rip off like other famous doctors do.
Because of my age, I asked him whether I should 抽羊水 after having an OSCAR test result of 1:740, he said it is not necessary to do so since it is costly and the risk of 抽羊水 (1:200) is much higher than my OSCAR result.
I use to see doctor “ Mak Kit Chee” in TST when I had my first baby, she is very good but expensive $700 per visit. I think she charged $9000 for natural delivery many years ago and I think the price would be much higher now. So Dr 余啟文 is charge very reasonable.
