I just buy instant noodles for my maid for lunch. she said she wanted instant noodles. She also eats some bread for lunch. So I give her 1 pack of noodles per day + 2 loaf of 'san ming' bread a week. She is so far ok with that. She also eats bread for breakfast.
at night, I give her fish, pork and chicken and she cooks her own dinner. and I will give her some cooked vegi from our dinner. she is happy to cook her own meal in her own style! I also give her 1 fruit per day.
so I spend about $80-100 per week to buy her food. I think it's ok.
both me and her are happy with this arrangement.
I think if you want to give her $$ to buy lunch, just ask her roughly what she wants to eat, normally they eat noodles / bread....+ some vegi
i gave also some sausages to my ex maid, but this new maid she didnt ask me for any...so I don't buy any for her!

我兩公婆要返工，日頭只有bb同bun bun，所以佢唔可以落街買lunch。Instead of 我買定d麵同罐頭比佢，我想每星期比錢佢自己買，自己煮。夜晚就大家一齊食。
