my daughter does fine on the plane.
she has travel for a few times and sleep pretty well on the plane.
try to get her sleep b4 she goes on the plane, so that can avoid her getting ear pain.
ask her to say "ar" when the plane is taking off, that helps too. my daughter didn't have any ear pain problem at all.
bring something he/she likes to play with or eat.
i showed my daughter a picuture of the plane and tell her at least a week b4 we travel, tell her that where r u guys traveling to and who he/she will be seeing there. i think this help a lot for the first time, because in that way he/she knows what to expect. tell her that it's fun.
my daughter travels from HK-USA for a few times and she just do fine.
Hope u have a nice trip ^_^
I went to Singapore with my husband and daughter in the early of Dec. My daughter was very "co-operative" all the time. She enjoyed the trip much.
I brought her favourite toys and books on the plane. And keep playing the video from my mobile phone to her (as she likes that much).
You can feed her milk when the plan is taking off. This can avoid having the "problem" on ears.
No basket provided to my duaghter by the airline. The basket is provided for baby who is aged 6months or below. my daughter is now 20months. She would not be willing to sit in the basket even if the airline provided it. there was no seat for her. Baby aged two or below can buy 'baby ticket' which will not provide seat to baby. My baby sat on my legs or between my husband and I during the flight.
