My doctor has given me instruction to take prenatal vitamins daily plus Folic Acid though there are 100% of calcium in each daily pill.
I dislike drinking milk and my husband is very concern lacking calcium which might lead to bone and teeth problem down the road. We started buying Tropicana with added calcium, vitamin A & D. A glass will give me 35% of my daily need.
A suggestion to those mothers who doesn't fancy yogurt - I get the Yogurt Tube (individual wraps for lunch box for kids) and put them in the freeze and eat it after dinner as a dessert in place of ice-cream. This is a good source of calcium too.
I have a grill cheese toast from time to time to top up the extra calcium. (toasted bread and some cheddar cheese in the microwave!)
I do have 'toilet session' every other day and the doctor is fine with that. Hope this helps!
Please check out and be careful with the sugar content in orange juice and yogurt.
Fresh juices and yogurt normally have high sugar and may not be ideal for daily consumption.
