if your son/daughter reaches 16, will you let them get the driving license? will there be any advantages for this even though you will not letting them actually drive cars?

guess it all depends on their personality.
my elder godson urge for the written test, then do the actual driving right after he passed his G2, then go for the G1 test one year after that.
but the younder god son, he is now 18, still no interest to go for the written test.
my god daughter just turn 16. since she is doing the part-time in no frills, she said she want to take the lesson as she did not want the drop off or pick up (said embrass wor)....

my daughter told me that her friends who start turning 16 will go to take the written test and then will go for G2. she had not asked for this as she still have 8 more months to turn to 16. however, i am just wondering should i let her to just get the G2 but not letting her drive/or not putting her in my insurance policy - will this help for her to lower her insurance by accumulating the years of having license when the actual time she will get the insurance.

我仔快16歲,暑假過去辦好入學,我就叫他去考筆試,跟住暑假期間學下車,我朋友係教車師父,所以我會放心.一年後先去考city.
我覺得ok既,有牌總好過無牌,如日後入大學又會好忙而家考o左先無壞嘛

你是否指要上個D'保險堂'後取得那張証書?將來我買車後加他個名,保險費平好多個D丫? (教車師父朋友跟我講過,他話teenagers的車保好貴,有那張cert.就平好多,我知好多家長都要d仔女去讀o既)

我以前都有上堂嫁! 師父話insurance 會平13%. 果陣真係成班都係teenages. 得我同2個HK師奶. 仲有好似話有cert可以唔駛等一年考路試, 8個就得. ..

好多華人師父都係帶我們去埠仔考,係容易d 既,我諗個度的highway無物車,得兩線架o咋,我係hk有揸開車但考車時好

你老公講得啱喎,因為highway真係要train,我識個朋友她永遠都唔上highway,因為她個牌係1x年前考o既,無學過上highway,toronto highway四線,睇見都幾驚架

I prefer driving local too. i would need to go to downtown once is a while, i will only drive local.

ckkwkl - to my understanding, if you only have the license but never have insurance before.... couldnot lower the insurance premium.
and in most case, for my god son, since he lived in dom... so have excuse not to included in the policy for the school time (i.e from Sep to may) and add his name back to the policy during the summer when he is back home.

for me, my 66 did add my name to the policy but i never drive..
our agent said, the premium will be calculated based on the license person that lived in your house... so u have to think about this.
young driver's premium is really expensive. most of my colleague have to pay $2000+ more if they have a driver under 25

ic. in this case, i have to consider if it is worthing to add her or not; or to let her have her driving licence. if she got her licence and can lower her premium a few years later when i really put her under my policy, then it is worthful. or else, it is not worthful to increase my insurance policy for another $2000 for the time being.

doggie, forget to tell you. she is much taller now. my height is only to her eyes level now. she grows quite a bit within the x'mas vacation. i was at her eyebrow at that time, now only at her eyes level.

都幾'拿利',若果他係常揸o既都無辦法,始終揸得多才有足夠的路面經驗既.

3 kidsmon - a) i don't like driving and rather be a passenger; b) we have only 1 car, so if i drive to work, my 66 will have no car. so... i got a driver to drop me an pick me up from work le... :;pppp:

其實要睇仔定女,女仔會平過男仔,女仔大槪加唔多過$1,000,男仔大概$1,500.而且我認為早啲有燕梳record,對他們將來自己獨立買既時候就唔使咁貴啦,所以我呀仔17歲就開始加佢個名入去我嘅燕梳.直到現在22歲,如果要獨立買都要over$6,000.直到over25歲先會有得減價,所以我認為早啲買會好啲囉!

我做o左好多年司機了(而係仲做緊,我都唔鍾意揸車架),車我d仔女放學

又要車他們去補習,因為我不是住市區,所以他們出入都要我車返屋企

日後我過到o黎,我要大仔自己上學,學識d 巴士路線,返/放學o甘近,不用我擔心o各!
