I had one (overseas hired) who worked for me for 1 yr. But we have been begging her to stay since the 1st month she came!!! she had so many excuses to go home, e.g. father was sick, father asked her to go home cos' he missed her so much. but she was married! so I don't know how his father would miss her so much! Then finally we gave up in 'begging' her to stay and hired another yan yan!!
The next one told the agent that she wanted to change employer after working for us for 1 wk. she had a sister working in HK for many years and was only looking after an old lady. of course compared to her sister, she had a more 'hard time'!!!!! and we noticed that she didnt do anything....we have carpet on our floor so we could hardly tell if she had vaccumed it!! so after a month, my husband was collecting dust and hair from the carpet n told me that our yan yan definitely didn't clean the floor! and like after we scolded her, she would just pack up and said 'I don't work here anymore'!!! chi sin!!! but it was very troublesome to find a new one, so everytime she wanted to pack up we asked her to stay. and one day she said she wanted to go out and she never came back but went to the police and reported that we hit her!!! so crazy!!!! I had to go to the police!!! so bad!! she used that 'excuse' to break the contract! so bad!!!
now I have bun bun! I think they are not that 'bin tai' as long as you treat them ok. They are clean at least!!!
For me, Yan Yan is a NO!!!! they always claim that they have worked in Singapore, but I think they are all inexperienced after working in Singapore!!!!
