yesterday just announce u could buy & sell property without agent/broker. so help a bit as u might be able to get rid of the agent's commission.
buying house does not need to pay commission, only selling. is it?? also, how will the new hst affect the buying/selling of house?
yes, buying house did not need to pay commission, but since the seller could save up the commision, buyer will have more room to negotiate.
HST only apply to new home and had no impact to the 2nd hand house.
also, there will be a rebate for the new home (can't remember much). but yes, if buyiing new home after July 1, will for sure paying more in the TAX..
I heard the Real Estate Board will allows home sellers listed his/her property in their public website (example, www.mls.ca), so other agents or buyers can see your property online.
yes, u could utilize their website but paying small fee (like advertising fee), or put ads in your newspaper, local newspaper. put up sign on your front lawn etc. and if u don't mind to do all the works that agent did, u will end up save at least 4.5-5% commission fee.
