OMG! Last night my husband came home late from work for dinner at ~10pm. I went into the kitchen trying to talk to my maid. Since she was in the bathroom, I kept the kitchen door opened such that I could see her out. She only wrapped herself in a towel & went from her bathroom across the kitchen to her room. Last time I saw her doing the same when my husband was in business trip. I told her I did not expect her to do that - I expected she would not do it again!

When I confronted her last night, she said her clothes would be wet if she put them in the bathroom (small). I said I would think of some other means (e.g. putting her clothes right outside bathroom) than to take the risk of being run into by my husband in the kitchen if he happens to fetch some water!

I asked if she didn't feel it's not appropriate, I'll talk to other maids in the same building (same layout) & asked around if any maids would do that - of course I doubt it if anyone would do that except my maid!

She has worked for me for 3 yrs (1.5 more yrs to go). Though not perfect, at least she doesn't steal, borrow money, hit my kids. Is it a serious offence that I should fire her or give her a warning letter? I never do that to her cos she is quite smart, not like the average maids! Hopefully she will change her other flaws & become better than to get worse.

Why you need to ask around if there is any other maid would do that? If others are doing that, would you accet this kind of behaviour???!

I would never take any excuse whatsoever that my miad can walk around my house only with a towel on her!!! It is not acceptable AT ALL~

i dont want to see her dressing like that, i dont want my kid see that. and of coz not my hubby!!

if she drop her towel in front of yr hubby, then???!!

Even if yr bathroom is small, she can turn of the ventilation! With this weather, the shower shouldnt be too hot n the cloths would be a bit moist.... wat is the problem here??

Putting her cloth outside the bathroom??? NOWAY!! Wat if you or yr hubby just happen pass by the door n see her ???

IF dont want to get her cloths wet, ask her to put her cloths into a plastic bag lor..

I will fire her if she do that again...
I dont care whatever it is............

my maid did exactly the same thing before, I caught her when I returned home. The reason she told me is that : this is her habit after shower, wrap towel and get dressed in her room. But I told her that as long as she works for my family, she can't do that. This is not acceptable.

If she keeps on doing that after you have expresly warned her, I would fire her.

Her excuse is juz ridiculous. They absolutely know this is indecent, but still insist on doing that... Think about what this is for...!

Thanks all. My maid definitely wants to be a ma'am. I asked her to write down what I need to buy from supermarket - heavy & expensive items such that I can use credit card & send home by delivery. She asked me to buy eggs, butter, vermicelli ..... I feel like I am her maid!

I did not mention that last Sun, she came home at 10:55pm which I asked her to come by 8:30pm when we signed 1st contract 3yrs ago. She said it was rainy (last Sun night?!) & she came from Shumshuipo. I said both would not have kept her from home for 2.5hrs. I never said anything when she came back at 9:30pm as she at least cooked breakfast for the kids before she went. 11pm is definitely late. I spoke to Immigration about the towel incident & they asked me to write her a warning letter!

我從未見過有洗手間係著唔到衫既，一定有解決方法（整個架放衫）。你可工人warn左都可以當無到，真係要出warning letter，無改善就炒左去啦，佢想做太太，咪送佢返鄉下囉。

你果個係唔係印? 我之前用過兩個印, 一個比我見倒佢出大廈 lobby 既時候對住個男人回'某'一笑, 嚇到個男人走夾唔抖. 另外一個印就會好陰聲細氣咁同我老公講嘢, 淨係我老公 jor wor有時重好潮氣 tim. 真係想打爆佢....!

我係你, 唔會再比機會, 因為已經 warn 過佢..........

u must ask your maid, why u can change the cloth inside the bathroom and she cannot le?
And the bathroom is small is not an excuse lo.

疑人勿用用人勿疑從問題中出發來解決問題

看過你的情況，那位印印姐姐說出來的藉口實在難以接受的。你的廁所環境可否傳給我呢？因我想看看，另外，表面來看你的問題，她只是怕啲衫濕，你可以在廁門上整個掛鈎，讓她將衫掛在掛鈎上，如果你個浴缸位置是沒有浴簾或門，而廁門又好近花灑位置，那你在那個掛鈎上加一張軟膠布，每次將啲睡衣掛於軟膠布下，便不會淋濕囉！（最好有相讓我看看你的浴室）
我不贊成出警告信，如果你家有小朋友，出得警告信，不知道她們心裡會怎樣，照你講，個印印姐姐都不是不醒目的，以防萬一你一出警告信她會嬲怒，不知會做什麼事，所以，真的想辦法解決廁所掛衫濕的問題，既然原因是這個，便從這個解決，即使跟AGENCY說，她們多數只會聽完你的控訴，便叫你出信或提出一些未必解決得到的方法，此終都是你自己要解決的。
至於，她究竟是否想做你，除非她是一位後生靚女，有啲心態想做一些事來吸引你丈夫，否則亦未必是這樣的。
你上次問她要去超市買什麼重或大的東西，你覺得她竟然跟你說買牛油，雞蛋，意粉等等，那刻你覺得她當你是工人，其實，我個印印姐姐也試過，牛頭不搭馬咀，她們理解能力是有時會爭Ｄ，她可能會誤會或又覺得你都去，咪買埋咁唸囉，你有乜要去超市買呀，我一次過買埋，因可送貨，但她卻覺得還掂你都去，屋企又差唔多無呢啲嘢，又唔多種類，咪叫你去買，又未必如你想到咁複雜嘅。
其實，好多事，我們不要估佢究竟係點先，幫佢哋解決咗啲問題先，你邊估得到咁多人唸乜啫！就算係自己親人，你也未必估到佢心唸乜，越唸越多嘢時，你倒不如不好用佢，俗語有說，疑人勿用，用人勿疑，否則，到頭來你會估到傻咗！
仲有難題，可找我呻吓或傾吓，世上無解決不了的問題的。

I agree with klso!

Talk to her patiently first. Ask her to dress well before leaving the bathroom. The reason is to protect her! She shouldn't undress herself in front of anyone especially men.

About shopping, really, sometimes they don't quite understand what you can help. State clearly to her directly!

Protect yourself and also your children at home by not giving her a warning letter at this moment.

Was it yan? If yan was Muslum, they cannot dress like this, even in their own house, they should cover up 包到冧. This was Muslum's rule to woman. Only they can wear little or not wear clothes was making love with the husband and bath. Their body cannot be seen by others except husband. Even husband other wives.

呢件野 no matter bun or yan, just to 想勾你老公.
