Partition issue.
Which o/s u r using? Assuming Win 7. Plug your hard drive, go to Start and type "harddisk managment" and press enter. A new window will bring up. Locate your "faulty" hard drive and should be telling you it's 2T, with 1T formated and another 1T to be allocated. You can either remove the formatted partition or extend it to include the rest of the 1T.
