I don't think so. It depends on which school you have applied. According to my understanding, some school feel of the 直資學校 is only $2xxx only.

If you are eligible for applying the subsidies, it should not 比人歧視. If you don't tell anyone, no body will know.

Even you study in gov't aided school, you still need to pay the "書薄費".

Other miscellaneous, I really don't think it is so much.

if you work in Gov't, you can apply tuition subsidy fm Gov't for children study in 直資學校.

I really feel strange for those not enough money to buy house but they request Govt to supplement for them to buy house.
The same, I disagree for those could not afford the school fee but still insist 申請學費津貼 to study at 直資學校. Please think that if all the students apply 學費津貼, then how the school can run better?
I could only accept for those students already study there but his financial condition sudden change and this case we must help him.
If you could not afford the school fee, why don't you think of the Govt school.

我個仔都係讀直資, 佢學校都係好鼓勵家長申請subsidy, 而且個計法都幾鬆.

會唔會比人discriminate, 其實都係睇你自己過唔過到自己既心理一關. 有錢家長一定有, 一放假就輪住去甲同學乙同學屋企/club house玩, 又有生日會. 有gathering時家長又會一齊傾計, 多多少少又係講去邊度學野, 去邊度旅行.

你/你小朋友會唔會自卑? 其實家長群又唔算係好show off, 只係呢一群家長佢地background係咁, 自然會講呢D囉.

我仔學校既同學仔咩背景都有, 都可以相處得幾好, 又唔覺有咩discrimination.
