I live in Scarborough and is going to deliver my baby by early June at North York General. Heard that North York General is now much better than Scarborough Grace... My obstetrician is male and his clinic is in North York (Sheppard Ave E). If you would like to have his info, let me know and I will post the info here for you ...

最出名既華人產科醫生叫Dr. Paul Shuen, 我個仔都係他接生，他幾盡責，好多人都找他。你可以找你個family doctor referral, 我就唔知Scarborough Grace好唔好，我就係North York General道生，係新院個邊黎架，都幾正!!
我都係專登番去生阿b架，不過番左黎香港成四個月張birth certificate到而家都沒有收到，有排等。你個bb一出世就好去apply passport，如果你要趕住帶bb番hk既話，你知啦，加拿大d人做野特別慢!!

My son also was born in North York General Hospital..the nurses in the labor & deliver room are nice....if u want your doctor to be the one who deliver your baby in the hospital (if he is not on duty)..u have to pay an extra fee to him....try not to go to Scar. Grace if it is possible...caz I heard so many bad experience there.

我以為 Scarborough Grace 有番咁上下歷史，穩陣o的；但原來 North York General 比較好呀，多謝提點...

Dr Paul Shuen個長細address我就唔係好記得，係係Bayview/Sheppard，收$300直到bb出世後連媽咪check up，不過好似要referral by family doctor喎，你係果邊有無family doctor呀？

May I asked, did your baby get the HK I/D yat ?? Can he get a I/D card when you back to HK ?

I am thinking of deliver in HK or Toronto. ?-(

只要你同你老公都係香港出生，bb就可以囉居留權，身份証就要等bb到12yrs至可以囉童証。如果你係加拿大公民既話，更係係果邊生好d，果邊除左比$300請個specialist之外其他一個$都唔洗喎，d醫院又大又舒服，最起碼一定乾淨，過果邊等生，空氣又好，對bb對自己都好d啦!不過果邊等出birth certificate就耐d囉，我個仔都6個月都末等到呀!我都係幫個仔去市政府道apply張travel letter囉passport走先咋，如果唔係都唔知等到幾時!!!

係呢，你知吾知，如果我地 2個都係公民，第日 BB點先可以囉到 passport 呀？會吾會要好似移民申請咁架？ ?-( ?-(

只要ｂｂ係係加拿大出世，ｂｂ已經係加拿大公民架啦，隨時都可以囉ｐａｓｓｐｏｒｔ，反而你要問下香港呢邊點樣幫ｂｂ攪民留權，你話你老公無身份証，你最好問清楚先啦！

actually I think it's better to give birth in HK, because if you are a Canadian citizen, your children will also be Canadian no matter where he is born. However, if you gave birth in Canada, when your children want to stay in HK, they have to apply dependent visas, although after 7 years residing in HK, your children can get permanent resident status and an id card, but they cannot apply for the SAR passport! Also during the first 7 years of residence, they have to renew their visas 2 to 3 times.

I advise you this because I came back from Canada 2 years ago and my sons have to apply for dependent visas.

Canada change policy, Yr baby can apply passport due to Ur a canadian, but yr baby need to land b4 22 year old for apply citizanship. U may check more detail in http:cic.gc.ca. my case some of u, but I choose my baby birth in Canada

The price is CAD300 if you have OHIP with you, if not, the total cost (including consultation + hospital fee) is around CAD5,000 - 6,000 depends on whether you are natural birth (stay in hospital for 24 hours) or C-section (stay in hospital for 3 days) ...

如果你老公係CANADIAN, 你BB係可以拎到CANADIAN PASSPORT的, 可以係HK APPLY的, 唔駛返CANADA的.
