Mother Farm 係千葉縣既郊區, 由新宿起程要兩個鐘多d架.....上(сЕみ牧場)官方網站睇下點去(дЗ=bus, ЁцЬюдЗ=shuttle bus).......除左動物, "擇"生果, 仲有"笨豬jump", 過山車, 摩天輪少量機動遊戲.....

I have never been there. Frankly speaking, I am personally not interested in Farm or Attraction like "BungiJump". I had just finished my Tokyo trip on 15 May 2005 that I planned originally to visit here at the begining because animal and fruits picking would be very interesting for my 2 years old daughter. However, I gave up finally because long time travelling and transit for trains and bus is not good for my daughter. As I can read Japanese, I even consider to join local one-day tour to solve the travel problem, but in May 05, there is only one trip going to Mother Farm but that trip includes 1-2 hours at beach in the morning section that I don't like.

i also will bring along w/ my son who will be 4 years old in july to japan!!!

u joined a local or bought package to tokyo? i've planned to stay in tokyo for 6 days ~ 1 whole day to disneyland; 1 whole day to thomasland; am thinking what to do in the other days. e.g. 台場. do you have any good suggestions?

cld u please let me know how i can get the local tour info. to Mother Farm? can i make a booking in HK?

I have just been to Mother Farm in early of May. It took me early two hours from 新宿 to 佐貫町駅 by JR then took 20 mins Bus to Mother Farm.

Even though the lone travelling itme, it is definitly worth to go and surely your kids will like there very very much. There are many farms like Strawberry Farm, Tomato Farm, Blueberry Farm. My daughter enjoyed eating fresh strawberry at the Strawberry Farm. Different farm has the different open time that is subject to the farm season. The fresh milk is also really great.

Both my hunsband and I are highly recommend our friends to go there. You are suggested to spend whole day there due to the long travelling time.

As you have six days in Tokyo, sure you should spend one day whole in mother farm, kids would enjoy very much. My trip was 5-days and could not make it.

The local tour is organized by HATO Bus and their target customer is local japanese. You can check schedule and seat available at[url=http://search.hatobus.co.jp/main/detail.php?package_id=3729&

ageNo=1&FormAction=searchkeyword&kbn=S&keyword=%90%E7%97t]HATO Bus Web Site[/url], but I am afraid you have to join and pay at tokyo personally.

Try to consider one day shopping at outlet and the other day go for attraction. I use this to keep my kid expecting excitment for the whole trip, especially on the shopping day that my girl will complaint a little bit boring. 台場is a good choice, toyota car exhibit, night light for rainbow bridge, sega, shopping, eating, 大江戶溫泉, 船之博物館etc., you can spend a whole day there if you have never been there. I spend an evening there in my trip and bought firework to play at the park. Remember to buy one-day-pass for the train. The price of one-day-pass is as low as three single travel.

Many Japanese organisation and company arrange big Firework during summer. You may check their schedule to catch up and enjoy the evening.

i m a little confusing ~~~ i found their Eng web states that "JR Tokyo Station [L Express Sazanami (75 min.)] - JR Sanukimachi Station". do you know what does it mean?

And did you try their restaurants? are they good and expensive?

is that we are better to arrive the farm as early as we can?

oh, we can play firework overthere? where can we buy it and does it have any time frame for playing fireword? and how long we can spend in 台場, half day is enough or not?

Hi Justinmami

You can go to JR station and ask them the train schedule. You may need to get transit from some stations. The JR staff will advise you the most faster way to go there. You are better to get the express train if they have, which will be more faster than the normal train. Once you have arrived at 佐貫町駅, the Mother Farm bus is just located at 佐貫町駅. It depends on the bus scheudle. From my memories, the bus will be leaving for every hour or even longer, which depends on the holiday or weekdays. If you miss the bus, we can get a taxi to there. It only takes 15 mins and the price is around 2500Yen. Last time, I miss the bus and we don't want to waste our time, then we took a taxi there.

The restaurants in Mother Farm are quite good and the price is not so expensive. You must try their ice cream and fresh milk. Not expensive and really delicious.

Of course, you are better to start your travel as early as possible. Let's say at 9:00 am. You can get the train schedule from JR station the day before you go to Mother Farm. You can better control your time.

I had visited several outlet in/near Tokyo and will check which one have your favourite shop. I shall post the info later. I bought firework at "Tokyo Hands" which is inside 新宿高島屋. 台場公園 is not allow to play firework, I played at the park next to 船之博物館.

Even though I dropped the plan to mother farm finally, I did a lot of research on Japanese Web and hope the following info could help.

Yahoo Japan路線 - 新宿-佐貫町 - You can search by criteria such as day, arrival time, departure time, and the result will return in sequence of either "no of transit" or "Duration of Travel". In my experience, the info is extremely acurrate that Japanese Transportation Organisations plan their train schedule very detail and operate strictly according to the fixed schedule.

佐貫町-сЕみ牧場 Bus - (Japanese土休日means 土日=Saturday, 休日=Sunday)

According to the Bus web info, bus stopping at mother farm only operates on Saturday and Sunday.

If you pick weekday to go to mother farm, THL's info of travelling by taxi is very useful.

By the way, the bus fare from 佐貫丁to mother farm is 470yen per adult.

According to mother farm offical web info, the shuttle bus is organized by mother farm and departure at "JR君津" 站 directly to mother farm, three important points should be considered :
(1) this shuttle is free-of-charge but only one bus departure per day
(2) you must ring mother farm and book the shuttle bus in advance, otherwise, no guarantee for services or availabe seat.
(3) JR君津to mother farm will take around 45 minutes, if you miss the bus, other transport means will be expensive when the long distance is taken into account.

Sorry for typo error, my post "佐貫丁"refer to "佐貫町", english name for "佐貫町" is "Sanukimachi",
The bus from "佐貫町" to mother farm is a route bus managed by 天羽日東дЗ (Nitto Kotsu Bus), it goes uphill and will stop mother farm for specific schedule only.

The english web you mentioned is referring the same bus above, however, do you notice that the english web refer the bus on limited seasons and months only, not for summer July.
