Is "Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Primary School" a good school? I live in Epping, this school is very close to where I live, other than this I know nothing about it, any comment or advise.

No experience with this school.

But I know of St Kevin at Eastwood and St Michael at Meadowbank. Friend's kids going there now, they are quite happy with both schools.

Are these private schools? If they are public and I
don't live in the catchment zone I may not be able to get in, isn't it?

When I was in high school (a public one), I remembered all my school mates were from everywhere. My school was in Parra, but my classmates were from Fairfield, Canley Vale, Epping, Dundas, Toongarbie, Blacktown and Carlingford.

Like what sbandliz said, worth trying to give all good schools some calls.

If they reject you on the phone, you can send them email and attach your son's reports/portfolio. The email might send to some other person. You never know.

Just asked my colleauge whose son studying @ Epping Boy's.

She said there are 3 zones in Epping, if you are living in the most inner zone, the shcool most likely will take your application however, if you are at outer zone and they are full, they may say no.

Best advice, you goto Epping Boys to get an application form and boundary to see which zone u are in

These are religious/private primary schools, so not restricited by catchment area. Their fees are reasonable too (not astronomical).
