No air-con in her room

Dear mummies

we will be moving to a bigger house soon, but, the helper's room has no air-con, what would you do ? In our existing house, she is taking the smallest bedroom which is air-conditioned and I am a bit concerned, I think I can only do the best with a fan, what do you think?

Fan would be okay. Please look at the contract, we have no obligation to provide air-conditioner for the maid to use. If she want it, tell her to buy it and pay for the electricity bill.

It is really OK in accordance with the contact, but maid is human being, and she has expectation (developed from previous experience) and emotion. And it is indeed a difficult decision to make.

I think Fan is enough, not necessary to be air-con la. If you do not provide both, you will find the room very smelty very soon.

我工人房都無冷氣.. 有窗.. 我仲專登為佢買左把風扇.. .都 ok 啦.. .!! 仲想點...!!!

我認為應考慮 :
1) 間房係米有對流窗, 如果無, 開風扇都好跼
2) 屋企係米村屋, 如果係, 晒足一日后，夜晚好”甘”架，　尢其係３樓
3) 間房窗口下面係米人地的"air-con", 有無熱汽蒸上尼
雖然話印尼/菲律賓都係熱地方, 但係那裡無 "air-con"呢回事, 就算熱都無甘辛苦.(系我工人講的. 我同意)

That's why I said it is a difficult decision. Sometime, it may be necessary to treat the helper as our daughter and dicipline her whenever appropriate.

If she get hot and then sweat, smell more or less would come out. Do you want your kids staying with a smelly guy?

Any also the room and coverlid must stay more or less of her smell. Do you want your house fill and leave that smell?

I always ask her to switch on the fan even not hot, because I don't want the smell come full of the room and house.
