you can check the visa on her passport, see whether the name matches the one the maid gave you. Please check carefully her passport for the valid visa to remain in hk. never ask her to start work before she gets the work visa from immigration.

I also came across the case that the previous employer is the agency's staff/boss. Be careful,. Last time I found it out when I phoned up the employer 2nd time and the line transferred me to the voice mail system, the surname is different from the employer's surname.
Well, I just fired my indo maid because she is very lazy and pretends to be stupid and forgetful. How old is your boy ? I do not mean all indo maids are bad, however, some of my friends who has been using indo maid have all changed to filippino maids now.
Remember not to let the new maid work in your house before she gets the valid visa from immigration. I know a lot of agencies presuade employers to do, but it is against the law.
I have one very unpleasant experience, the agancy said i can "try" the maid for two days, and I did, but the maid stole something from my house and I reported to the police. The police caught her and the maid is now in jail. Now, that immigration is investigating this case as I am not allowed to let a someone with no visa work in the house.
