Cindy,
Similar case to me, I change 4 maids in within 2 years. Please make your decision according to your feeling, the feeling of a mother. Since the maid fed and take care your baby most the time of the day, you will feel unrested and nervous for a long time. Do not care what the other says, change another one should be a better solution if you do feel something wrong.
The daughter is 2 years old now, and I have her go to the daytime nursery center 9:00 to 6:00. She looks really happy and smarter. I will consider partime local maid for the time being and may be oversea maid sometimes later because I need some peace for my family.
Tell you my funny story, my agent said my last Indonesian maid can speak good English (working in Singapore before). The fact is after few weeks, she answer me in Cantonese when I speak English to her. She answer me in English when I speak Cantonese to me. The same answer is "I don't understand!" It drives me mad.
That's why my indo maid who worked for me 6 months now will only do housework and cooking. I do all the caring of my 2 children, like changing diapers and taking bath etc. Her work load is very light, I let her go to bed at 9pm and wake up at 6:30am. But she works non-stop during the day...like cleaning all the toys with dettol.
