In fact, I have posted here regarding I hired the very old Yan Yan (43 years old). The reasons are I must have to get a Good reference from the maids' ex-employers and quite sure she is the kind of Honest, No Black Face, Good Attitude, Hard-Working person, Can cooking independently as I can't cook, don't like other maids do a lot of bad things posted in BK. I understand that maid with no caring baby experience and also old/fat. But may be my character is too nervous and under pressure to take care of my 2 years old daughter, so very very afraid to hire the bad maid = don't want to TAKE RISK (50% good, 50% bad) for the 50% bad.
(I stay home and my active girl is just 2 years old)
Finally she has arraived in my home for 2 weeks, everything is my expectation, she can do everything quite good independently and the character is good as well. But I will not let my girl alone with her (especially go to the playground). Finally I still have not a lot of time to do something I like (may be only 2 hours, can't go out for half day).
I am also thinking to hire another young maid when
my girl is 3 years old. The point is my girl can talk and tell to me about the maid if she is bad. Now I just treat my maid as the "OLD servant".
Any comment of any ma ma, thanks for your help.
1. Try to let the maid play with your girl in the park & you observe during the play time.
2. Telling the maid that you will be leave for a while & ask her to play with your girl carefully but actually you just observe in hide.

If everything is okay according to no 1 and 2. What should I do (but my feeling is still not good, she definitely likes our HK people 53 years old although she is 43). I don't want any accidents happened as my daughter has already got a scar on her beforehead due to my previous maid's mistake. (I really under pressure, I also want to see a doctor).
also what do you think of my own suggestion - to find another one when my girl is 3 years old ?? (may be this is too early to say here). sorry I am really a nervious person.
Follow your feeling lar. I have posted on other topics about overage maid. I have try one 40 years old, but she just like Hong Kong people over 65 or 70 years old, slow and so slow.
Trust your your feeling and should have confidence ma.
but too frequent to change maid is absolutely not a good matter to young children. They need sense of security. When your daughter familiar with this maid and next yr change again, she need time to adjust again. Of course, if the maid is not good, it's another story. We are forced to change her.
Maybe you can observe for longer time first before u think about changing maid.
My existing maid is a 41 yr old lady, i hire her for almost 3 yrs. yes, she is slow, lazy, easy tired, and stuban like an old lady.
