hired a bun bun for nearly 2 months and this is my first time to hire a maid.
I have a 8 months old baby and I am not working at the moment as the application process of a maid was taken too long, so that I have to resign and look after the baby before the maid come.
Ok, here are the problems of her:
1) Communications - she mostly misunderstanding our instructions. English is bad. Now I will write down for her but she still does things wrong or may ignore the instructions.
2) She never asks me if she does not understand (I have told her a lot times if she does not understand...)
3) She only needs to do the normal housework cleaning & cooking...and feeding baby 2 or 3 times of congee (starting these 2 weeks, before just let her fed 1 or 2 times & I am still breastfeeding her)...but she works super slow...such as preparing dinner: 2-3 hours for only 1 steam dish, 1 pan fried dish, 1 vegetable dish & 1 soup; 2 hours for cooking; 1-2 hours for wiping floor & dusting the TV cabinet & bay-window; 1-2 hours for cleaning dishes after dinner...etc.
4) My baby got diarrhea for more than 1 week after she came in the 3rd week and started feeding baby.. (my baby has no sick at all before she came)
5) I let her use our shampoo & shower gel only but we found that she also uses our toothpaste & facial cream..other not known yet
6) She did things wrong or lazy to skip the works. if we found and asked her...she will just has no answer and has "her president smile" and never give me the sorry or would like to change answer or expression
7) She seems dunno how to feed baby. always stir the congee to become watery and then just give her the water (asked her and she said she just want water!!!)
8) she eats like a horse. She at first she had 1 bowl of rice and then now she have a plate of rice which seems 2-3 bowls of rice.
9) Found she diluted the soup for me to drink because she drank it. (she has worked in Taiwan and the family dun let her to have soup and she said chinese soup is good for health & beauty..that why chinese is life-longer than them) So she knows the soups are good...so she always drinks at least 2 bowl at the dinner and we have left over for my lunch, then think she drank it and then dilute it for me. I have asked her why it is pale and she said she added water coz left own very very little wor!!! after I have asked her this question, then no more diluted soup for me again!! she really think I am stupid
aiya...too much...
So what shall I do? I am afraid if I fired her and the second will be the same or worse...and I really want to back to work again, so I need a trustable maid to take care my baby actually.
as you said" I need a trustable maid to take care my baby actually", from you information I don't think she is a trustable maid. I'm also having a maid who is doing exactly what you said in point 1-7, and I will terminate her contract at the end of this month.
My previous maid is same style as yours and I fired her last month. She is very lazy and she even didn't clean the toys (of course she said she cleaned it la)
If you fired her, then you need to let her pack her language outside the room. Because after my maid left, I found that she has stolen my old mobile phone.
