Me too. I chose F4 IS one since long time ago. And tomorrow I am going to buy with my friend who can help me to choose.
However, he insisted similar price, I should go for F2.8 without IS.
Now I am 15,16.
At 200m side, safe shutter speed should be 1/200s, right? So if I use f2.8 and 1/200s, will photos be underexposed? Or I think I can higher the ISO to make the photo not underexposed?
If I pick f4 one with IS, then safe shutter speed is no longer 1/200s, right? Is it 4 steps lower, so become 1/200 --> 1/100 --> 1/50 --> 1/25?
THANKS

我會揀支 70-200 f4.0L IS
因為佢係新設計俾數碼機用
加上有防震, 又細支同輕D
(70-200 f2.8 L 好大同重, 又無 IS)
I have downloaded and read the manual.
But not fully understand what mode 1 and mode 2 mean (for the Stabilizer mode).
Seems to me mode 1 is used for normal circumstances and mode 2 is used for moving objects. But then on another page it said the IS function cannot compensate for a blurred shot caused by a subject that moved.
So actually when mode 2 should be used?
