My ontario driver licence was expired for more than 10 years but I owned a valid HK driver licence. From some information, it stated that after the written test, I need to wait for at least 8 month before I can do the road test. Can't figure out how life will be with 2 kids but no car ( unable to drive) during winter.
Can anyone tell me clearly what the new policy is about and from the web of settlement.org , I stated that
12-24 Months of Driving Experience in the Last 3 Years
You are in the graduated licensing system. You can take the G1 road test immediately. If you pass this test, you get a G2 licence.
You must get written confirmation of your foreign driving experience.
If the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) recognizes your driving experience, you can use this time towards the 12-month waiting period for the G2 road test.
Where can I obtain the " written confirmation" in HK ?

I call the HK transportation Dept today and they can issue the confirmation letter as what the Ontario Licencing Office needed
