我六月尾會搬去加拿大---近尼加拉瓜瀑布個邊, 各位有無好搬運公司介紹?

Dear Tabima,
Welcome to Canada. I moved from HK to Canada last year by BALTrans Removal (保昌) Ph: 2756 2882, which provided quite good service. My sister-in-law also hired this company to move stuffs to Australia without any problems. As you know, there are very limited companies which provides immigration removal services in Hong Kong. So maybe you can check with YELLOW PAGES.

Dear Tabima,
The only thing you have to be ready is the AC power jack adapters or transformers (switch to 110V from 220V). I believe you will ship out some electrical appliances that are only for 220V. Pls note that transformers or adaptors are more expensive than those in HK. Sometimes they are not available too.
For other things, it is not necessary to buy from HK. Because we have everything in Canada that you have in HK. You will find some products cheaper than those in HK, for example handy Camera, TV, DVD players, baby stuffs, diapers & formula and etc. So you can save more money on the removal charges if you ship less yr belongings.

我都諗緊係米要買轉壓器, 是否即火牛? 火牛是transformer, 咁 AC power jack adapters 係咩黎?
旅行用的萬能插已ok嗎?

有d野唔知帶唔帶過黎, eg 電奶泵(因為好像canada貴好多), 烚奶瓶煲, 因為要加火牛, 米要買好多火牛?

Dear Tabima,
You're welcome because both of us are Canadian moms.
Transformer 即是火牛 (usually buy from 鴨寮街; the shops called it as "AC-AC converter 500watt AC110V---AC220V). You need only one number of transformer with 500watt (即500火) and one number of extension cord (即拖板) but of course it depends on how many electrical appliances to be carried and how many watts yr electrical appliances consume. For mini-hifi or TV or DVD player or bottle sterilizer, 500 watt is pretty enough. But make sure you do not use all of the appliances at the same time. If you think it is not enough, you can buy two transformers and two extension cords.
Yes, you are right, AC Power Jack Adapter (Canadian terms)= 類似旅行用的三腳轉二腳萬能插蘇.

hi Tabima.. welcome to canada - are you moving to St Catherine? I lived in toronto.
We used the Asian Express. Don't have the phone number in hand, but guess you would be able to find from the yellow page.
yes, 3r family is correct, just buy one transformer but many adoptor, to change from 3 legs to 2 legs plug or the flat legs to round legs... etc.

I used to work in a trading company in HK and as far as I know, the most well-known moving company is BALTrans. This should be the most reliable one I've known of.

tabima - so how much you pay for the shipping... we paid $5000 for just 100 cu ft. quiet expensive but reliable.. and delivered from door to door la.

No worries, Asian Express is not bad too. As the other mama said, BALTrans is about $5000 door to door. Just make sure they are door to door and ask them if the price include the declaration fee, anti-bacterial fee etc. Also if you need them to store it for you for a while, ask them about the storage fee and also where about is the storage.

The rates from Asian Express seems resonable then...we have 310 cu ft, $15,2XX door to door and include the declaration fee, anti-bacterial fee etc.

so far the service is OK but we have to wait for conclusion until we receive the stuff.
