我而家係HK預產期5月尾,諗住4月頭黎澳洲準備生BB,暫時打算係Mater Hospital生,有冇媽咪係呢間醫院生過BB,有咩需要注意?同埋要係HK買定入院用品嗎?如4月頭先到澳洲趕得切登記5月尾可以係呢間醫院生嗎?登記有咩要準備呢?因為第一胎係澳洲生,好多野唔識,希望有人幫到我,謝謝~

我9月係Sydney 的Mater hospital 生..基本上什麼都齊全，無乜特別野要帶去。

我係去Brisbane既Mater Hospital,同Sydney果間係咪唔同架?係政府醫院嗎?怎樣申請登記係呢間醫院生BB呀?

Mater have public and also private section.

我係Brisbane 的Publc Mater hospital 生
if you want to public Mater, I think it impossible to have a place for you . they are very full booking

If you give birth in Private Mater, I do not know the details as I gave birth in public

you can book public Mater via GP

you need to bring everything, nothing provide for you

when my friends booked in 15 weeks, they rejected her because thy are full booking

but you can still try to book

Not everyone can give birth in Public Mater, only you live in some Southern Suburb can
otherwise you need go to your nearest public hospital

我想問如果我真係四月頭黎到Brisbane, 我是否需要第一時間申請medicare咭同埋睇醫生, 等佢轉介我去醫院呀

我應該點樣做?? 請指教

If you live in Runcorn, you are eligible to Mater Public Hospital.

I think You need to apply medicare first, if you meet all the requirement and submit all required document. Medicare will give you a number at once and then you can have free public hospital.
I suggest you go to Medicare website and prepare all required document. Some documents need to be prepared in HK.

Then you go to GP and GP will refer you to Mater. But I think you should better to provide all medical record to GP i.e. all 產前檢查 report,blood test ,ultra sound record and any other medical document.

In my case, GP will send a letter to Mater and I just wait a reply letter from Mater.
If Mater accept you, they will make a appointment with you. Then Mater will give you all procedures and required information.

I waited around 2 weeks and the first appointment was one month later
My friend was rejected by Mater and refer her to Royal Women Hospital (Public)

There is no public hospital around runcorn 附近. QEII public hospital is near Runcorn but it is not for giving birth

Sunnybank Private Hospital is the nearest Runcorn but it is private . If you have no private insurance, it is very expensive. I have no idea about the cost of private hospital. You can contact them directly or consult your GP

我想問點解你個fd 15week時mater都話唔收...係因為地區問題...or真係fully booking...仲有如果係mater生有Medicare card會收幾錢and rebate返幾多錢?
