whole box = 50

1/2x+20=45
1/2x=45-20
1/2x=25
x=25x2
x=50

alan divides a packet of dried beef into 5 groups equally. if each group of dried beef weighs 0.3kg, how many kilograms does the packet of dried beef weigh?

45-20=X/2
25=X/2
X=50

首先45-20 = 25 (John)
25 X 2 = 50 (Mary)

yes, this answer is right. cos, p.6 is learing < X > is unknown now.



1)
1/2 x +20=45
1/2 x +20-20 = 45 -20
1/2 x = 25
1/2 x X 2 = 25 X2
x = 50
2)
x / 5 = 0.3
x /5 X 5 = 0.3 X 5
x = 1.5
