why not.. but the only drawback is no warranty lor. also, if you fly to canada via USA will be questioned by the customs...
for Canada, they don't know if your notebook is for self use or gift (if they are wide open) but of course, if you wrapped them up nicely, then try yr luck if the officer will ask u question or not...
