Hotel has swimming pool (with 2 water slides), kids club and child game centre. I always go once or twice every summer with my son. You can go to the beach just 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel if your kid like to play sand.
They have yacht club view and sea view rooms. Both are facing the sea, yacht club view rooms are slighly cheaper whilst the sea view rooms are overlooking the beach. I always request high floor rooms.
If you don't eat in the hotel (like myself), you can go to the Gold Coast Bazaar which is very close to the hotel, only 5 minutes. There are Thai, Peking, European Restaurants, even with McDonald's. If you like seafood, you can go to Sam Shing Estate in Tuen Mun (10 minutes by taxi).
Please bear in mind that the hotel is quite crowded over weekend, especiall Saturday afternoon. Sometimes I will prefer to check in on Sunday and check out Monday or Tuesday to avoid the crowd and it's cheaper too.
Also if you want to check out later, you can ask the hotel if they can allow 1-2 hours complimentary late check out. If not, you can pay an extra $120 to check out at 4 pm and $240 to check out at 8 pm.
I just called the hotel and made a reservation for Aug 26 and 27 (Fri & sat). I will go with my 3yrs old daughter and either my brother / husband. Do children like the swimming pool or the beach? As the check in time is 3pm, can we go there earlier and swim first? Is there any other facilities for 3 yrs old child?
Did any of you take the shuttle bus at Tsim Sha tsui to Gold Coast hotel? Is the bus full all the time?
