From Johnson's baby's website, it said bb should knows how to hold/wants to hold toy at wk 8 and if he can't do it by wk 9, should visit Doctor!! so scary~~ my bb is 10 wks now and have no want at all, only excited when I turn on the bedside marry-go-round~
My baby's birthday is 28/2/2011 and we use babygym to train her hand and arm power (we use Fisher-Price). She is easily attracted by the gym!
Timetable:
6 weeks+: start using baby-gym. Moved arm to approach toy
2 month: can raise up her arm with fair accuracy only
9 weeks: can hit the toys upright
10 weeks: can open and close hand and fingers by herself
11 weeks (now): start to grab by her own will (i.e. not automatically with fingers wider apart) and put to mouth 1-2 times
