足印
沿著海邊走，忽然又停了下來。她回望走過的沙上，是她一雙微濕的足印。
很久沒有來到這個海灘，大概有三年吧？上一次到來，風一樣的寒，在耳邊嘶嘶作響。那一天，他對她說了一個故事，是有關足印的故事。
據說，有人作夢，夢見沙上有兩雙足印，然後主耶穌告訴他，一雙是祂的，一雙是他的。可是過了不久，沙上只剩下一雙足印。那個人就埋怨，為甚麼在最艱難的路上，祂卻不見了。只是，祂告訴他："剩下的那雙足印是我的，在最艱難的路上，是我抱起了你來走。"
說罷，他指著他和她背後，他倆的足印。
「看，前面只剩下一雙足印。」「為甚麼？」「因為在最艱難的路上，是我抱起了你來走嘛！」她還來不及反應，他已經把她抱了起來，在微濕的沙上壓下深深的足印。她吵嚷著要下來，兩人的笑聲蓋過了寒風。
後來，在他臥床的日子，又說起這件事來。想到不能做到那天他所說的，他一臉歉意。那時候，她打趣說：「剩下的一雙足印，那是我抱起了你才對啦！」她使勁地要把他抱起來，還是一同柺回床邊。他投訴她的愚笨，心裡卻在忍著淚水。
潮水要洗褪她那雙足印，有人呼喚她的名字。回過頭來，前面遠遠是她幾位一同來玩樂的朋友，大概是擔心她走得遠了而來找她。在那艱難的日子，他們和她禱告，輪流為她打理家務、餵魚。她想，剩下的一雙足印，是他們的嗎？還是－應該是祂的呢？想到他們要剩下一雙足印，恐怕只有疊羅漢，那滑稽的想像令她不禁發笑。
忽然，她又往前跑，默默對祂感謝，跑向那幾張可愛的臉。沙上留下了她的一雙足印。
Footprint
One night I had a dream.I dreamed I was walking along the beach with my Lord.Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.For each scene,I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;one belonged to me and the other to my Lord.When the last scene of my life flashed before me,I looked back at the footprints in the sand.I noticed that many times along the path of my life,there was only one set of footprints .I also noticed that it happened at the lowest and saddest times in my life.This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it."Lord,You told me once I decided to follow you, You would walk with me all the way.But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,there is only one set of footprints.I don understand why when I nedded You most,You should leave me."The Lord replied, "My precious child,Ｉlove you and I would never leave you.During your time of trials and suffering,when you saw only one set of footprints,it was then that I carried you."
I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.
