i am not going to renew my maid. i will tell you both of her good and bad things, see if anyone of you will interest to hire her.
good things
1. very kind and nice to babies and old people
2. hard working --- never want to rest
3. work fast --- but once in while, you will find things aren't very clean
4. simple and good heart, not sly
bad things
1. poor cooking, for i don't know how to cook either, so she learned nothing from me.
2. stupid
3. sometimes stubborn
she is 26, married but a single mother with one daughter of 4.
have 2 years in singapore and 2 years with me.
the reason i don't renew her is that my daughter is 3 now, she needs to eat more solid food and her cooking skill is not very good, so my daughter doesn't like to eat her food as well as my husband, and i don't know how to train her for i am a very poor cook too, other than that she is ok, her character is fine and very very honest (straight head, so is not too smart, so you have to be patient with her). she is not bad but just can't fill my requirements anymore, so i try my best to help her find a new employer.
you have to set your priority, if your top priority is to take good care of your babies so that you can work in the office at ease, she will be a good choice. she never takes a nap with my daughter, she works and works while my daughter is sleeping, she even kept on working while she was sick, though i have told her to take a rest. she has taught my daughter colors, shapes, 1-10 (english and chinese), a-z, she is very patient with my daughter.
well, it's hard to say. OK, i lately found out that she only put little bit salt and chicken powder into meats, that's all. that's why everything she cooked had no taste at all, and then i taught her to put sugar, flour again, now it's a little bit ok la. the food these two days were ok war. once she learns a new dish, then you will eat it almost every 3-4 days again, she is somehow very lazy to think what to cook.
i think i already have a bias on her, so whatever she cooks i still think the taste is not ok

1) Does she follows your instruction as you say she is stubborn?
2) Could she speak fluent cantonese or/and English?
3) Does she likes smiling?
4) How many people is she working for?
5) How old is your baby, son or daughter?
