just called Indo Consulate, we can renew contract through (1) old agent, (2) new agent or (3) ourselves.
a) Is there anybody has try to renew yourselves ? What will be the reason to legalize new employment contract without going through agency (application letter mentioning the reason as required by the
Consulate) ?
b) do you have sample of the Health statement letter from doctor ?
c) do you have sample of statement lettre from parent/guarian or husband ?
d) notary public referral ?
e) any agency charging total reasonable fee (employer + maid) referral ?
1. Save agency fees charged on maid of approx $2,000, and employer of approx same amount.
2. (name of Indo maid) has already been working for us for the past 2 years and there is sufficient mutual trust between (maid) and myself so there is no need to require the services of an employment agent. In fact the services of the former employement agent had not been required during the past 2 years.
About 2 years ago, I renewed the contract with my Indo maid successfully. Thanks for your kind help & information. In coming December, the contract will end and I want to renew the 3rd contract with her again. It is heard that it is quite difficult to renew contract by our own without via agent, isn't it? Do you have any recent experience? Please do help me again.
I need to do it in early Oct too. Will let you know all about it after I've completed the process. This will also be our 3rd contract.
The 1st thing you will need, is the letter from your Indo maid's hubby / father confirming their "permission" for your maid to continue to work in HK, which needs to be notarized by the "village elders".
Ask your Indo maid to get this item done first.
Without this you cannot renew the contract without an agent.
(My Indo maid has received this from her father already. There is a yellow / gold-coloured stamp (ie the "lion head stamp" at the bottom right hand corner = the notorization.)
The rest of the items are from HK and easier for us to handle / prepare.
