香兒 -- around 15 students per class, need one of the parents/grandparents/maid to accompany with the child to attend the lessons
葉氏 -- around 15 students per class, child need to attend the lessons by himself/herself, so wasted at least the first 3 or 4 lessons to settle down all the students cos too many students cry!!!
I read the notice from its website --- http://www.hkcchoir.org/catalog/images/notice/iec001-2011.pdf. Yeah, I also know that there is an internal assessment 評核 for IEC students who wanna go to choir or other classes like Chinese Dancing or ballet, but I guess after their training, it is very high likely the students in IEC can go to the classes they wanna apply for, at least MUCH EASIER to join the choir by interview for outsiders! That's why I wrote 基本上可直升。
My nephews, both are boys, are now the members of HK Childrens' Choir. Actually I think boys are easier to join the choir classes than girls. Comparatively, my friend's daughter, who applied for twcie, but still failed for the interview.
The interview is in the form of singing a song and followed by testing for 拍子 or 節奏 something like that. Not very sure the format is still the same or not now as they have only one intake application in recent years, but wish that these can help!
