agree with Iamn. wellborn is theme base school. before i lived near the school and my friend introduced it to me. after that my big son studied there for 1.5 yrs nusery class. and he learned speaking complete sentence in english class. but due to i want him to apply another school so i change him into chinese class. for academic, this school quite good. so my son is accepted by all K1 school which he applied.
after that i moved ,but i still put my little son to wellborn even i live near think and greenfield.
because i hope he can like his big brother.(go into 1 dragon school)
yes, both sons like reading and learn complete sentences within half an year. so i let little brother applied one K1 school outside for a trial.(due to he borns on december) luckily he won. so he will leave wellborn.
for yr information, i had already let my boy tried think wellborn and greenfield playgroup. i and my maid most like is greenfield. u can try quite good(more systematic) but for the normal class, i really don't know. For think, i saw by myself they let child play outside the playgroup with the bumble and babycar. due to i have 2 child ,i need to let them study the whole day class. so u need to ask what they let them to play or learn on afternoon class.
I have attended the open day of both think and boxhill last year.
Think: I don't have a good impression about a teacher there. When I asked her about the curriculum of school. She replied that each class got two teachers. One is english and one is Cantonese and that's why their school fee is more expensive than others. Personally I think she answered like a sales, instead of teacher. Perhaps they have a good curriculum but I doubt if they really have passion on education.
Boxhill: in mos, they have mandarin class 20 mins a day instead of Cantonese. I met several students there and talked to their parents as well. Their kids can speak English in a full sentence. One mother said that there is no English environment at home and they use Cantonese to communicate. She is also surprised at her daughters English, after 2 years school life there. No pressure at school because few homework is assigned.
but I am afraid if I am not planning to let my kid study in an IB primary, my kid may not be able to get use to traditional primary school curriculum.
