May be your friend's uterine fibroid is multiple.
The doctor can ony try to excision the fibroids that he can see. Some of them is small or hide in very deep part that hardly to discover.The most useful way is have hysterectomy.But I think the young woman and the single woman cannot accept this method.Many doctor will try to keep the uterus .
You may tell your friend that she is so lucky that she still can keep the uterus. If the uterine fibroids is too many or the blood lost is too much when menstration. She need to have futher hysterectomy surgery.
