My BB drinks iced milk on Mon-Fri, he will 排便 very frequent like 7-8 a day. However, when I feed him directly on Sat and Sun, he will have no 排便 at all. This is even more obvious when I have long week-ends, he will only 排便 once in 4-5 days.
Is it normal? Why the iced milk is so differnt? My iced milk will normally stored for about a week before I feed my baby. Should I keep the First-in-first-out strategy for the iced milk storage? Please advise. Thanks!!
The frequency of "pooh pooh" depends on individual baby. You have to check is the texture & colour of the pooh pooh. No question BF only does good to the baby, unless the mom is on medication or some banned products. According to nurse, 4 days is still acceptable.
You mentioned about "iced milk", please explain more. The mama's milk being stored in the fridge? It is better to store the mama's milk in the fridge (not on the door side and should be separated from all raw food) and consume within 3-4 days. Of course, it should be used in a first-in-first-out manner.
it may also hv something to do w/ the temperature of the milk. check it next time to see if you defrost your iced milk well or not coz sometimes when you feed yr bb w/ cooler milk, it can cause a bit of diarrhea. 7-8 times may be a little too frequent....and how old is your bb ?
Yes, I mean the freezed milk I stored in the fridge.
I did ask this question when I went to the Health center last time. The nurse answered that it may be due to the "early milk" portion is much greater than the "late milk" portion when I squeeze the milk. Then I tried to squeeze by hand to make sure the "late milk" will also come out. However, the "pooh pooh" frequency is still not lowered in week days.
It's glad that you are a cautious mom. Check the pooh pooh see if the texture is too watery. If the texture is too watery, please consult a doctor/nurse.
You are right to tell your maid not to re-heat the milk too hot to spoil the nutrient content. Luke warm is the right temperature as long as you store the milk in a absolutely hygenic condition.
Your milk content will change with your baby's growth. It will become thicker and more milky, that means more fat in content to suit the growing needs of your baby.
